HTML Guard can look back upon a relatively long history for a software program.
Version 1.x
Version 1.0 of the software, available only in German, became available in the year 2000 (see screenshot). The functionality of this version was limited to encryption of HTML code and the disabling of the right mouse button in the browser.
Version 2.x
In mid-2001, HTML Guard Version 2.0 became available in English as well as German. The major advances were the ability to compress source code and the print function, as well as the FTP function for automatic uploading of websites.
With each new version of the 2.x series (version 2.33 in 2006), HTML Guard saw the introduction of new functionality and customization for new browsers.
